Secret Pal Swap

One Big highlight from our crop weekends is the ever popular, secret pal swap.  How cool would it be when your name is called out to pick up a surprise at the help desk, or you find a little gift on your scrapping space when you leave for a little while.  Here is a chance to get some goodies that you wouldn't go out and get for yourself.  Or create a "wish list" of supplies and things you would like to have for the weekend.

Here is how it works;

As a secret pal, you will fill out a questionnaire "privately" to the coordinator of the swap.  The Swap coordinator will put all the participants names in a hat and give each person a pal.  You will then receive your pals questionnaire to learn more about her.  You may or may not know them, but either way, you’ll want to keep yourself secret!!!  You’ll want to make your secret pal feel very special by giving her gifts before and (especially) during the weekend.  You may want to send her a card or 2 before hand, buy her some scrapping supplies (I think chocolate counts for this, too!!) to give her during the weekend, and don’t forget - hand made gifts are always fun too!!  We suggest keeping the total amount of money that you spend around $40.  Keep in mind, someone will be giving YOU gifts all weekend too!!!  On Saturday night, we will have a “reveal”, so you can finally introduce and/or reveal yourself to your secret pal as well as find out who your pal was.

To participate, please send me a PRIVATE EMAIL at stampinjenn@yahoo.com .  Your secret pal will be given to you on or about May 1, 2010.  You will receive a questionnaire at that time with details about your secret pal.  If you have any questions, please email me, Jenn at stampinjenn@yahoo.com  (or if they are general questions, please feel free to leave a comment below).

Please note a few recommendations for participating in the secret pal swap:

• you'll want to be attending at least for Saturday, as Saturday night at 11PM will be the big reveal.

• we will do our best to match you up with scrappers who have the same package as you (so if you are not at the crop on Friday, your secret pal will also be someone who is not there on Friday)

• usually people like to get lots of little gifts, as opposed to one big one, but it is up to you how you "give"
• be creative & have fun and you'll be sure to leave the crop with a few new friends!!!!

Please make sure you come back to our blog often, as we will be posting reminders and other important crop info, especially as the crop gets closer.  If your friends have not visited us yet, you’ll want to tell them to now.  

Don’t forget – to join this swap, you need to send a PRIVATE EMAIL to stampinjenn@yahoo.com.  I will then send you a questionnaire to fill out & return to me so your secret pal will know a little bit about you!!!
