NJ Crop Weekends Summer Crop class schedule to be posted soon!

Hey everyone! The NJ Crop Weekends Summer Crop is just 1 month away on August 6 & 7 at the Dolce Basking Ridge, NJ! Have you registered yet? If you are registered, are you excited?? I sure am! I started my list of layouts I plan to work on. If you haven’t registered yet no worries there is still room, here is a registration form, fill it out and send it in today! Oh and by the way if this is your first NJ Crop Weekend remember to take advantage of the new referral program.

 

Just a quick post today to let you know the class schedule will be posted soon! We will be offering two classes during our Summer Crop Weekend! By popular demand Joanie Pelliccone will be teaching a card class and Jen Peel and I will be teaching a scrapbooking class. We hope to have the class descriptions and samples posted over the weekend so be on the lookout!

 

Oh one more thing, in the upcoming weeks be sure to check back often because we will be posting tips and other useful information to make the most of your cropping weekend.

2 Page Progressive Layout ( Scrapbook page):  Saturday 10:30am-12, Taught by Jen Peel

Progressive pages begin as 6x6,  and then you build to make an 8.5 x 11, which turns into a 12 x 12!  Watch the magic appear in this class where you will create a 2-page layout with a spring theme using the Big Shot, textured card stock, stamping, and more!  Please bring to the class: scissors, adhesive, glue dots, and a paper trimmer. Class fee: $17.00

Have you been looking at the Ribbon Wreath in the 2010-2011 Idea Book and Catalog?  Here is your chance to make a beautiful ribbon wreath of your own.   All of your ribbons will be cut to specific lengths and you will tie them together to form a 10" wreath.  Learn to form a wire ring to hold your ribbons.   Class fee: $25.

Crafting storage and organizing Tip!

Hi all, I have a tip on organizing your scraps tip. I actually got this tip from my 2nd upline Jen Peel. She organizes her scraps in a file cabinet. Thanks Jen!!  Any way saw this file cart with 2 baskets underneath the files from The Container Store, which by the way is my most favorite store. LOVE IT! Its my store for all my organizing needs, and I am an Organizing Diva!  I organized my files according to color family with SU Names , ex: Almost Navy , Not Quite Navy and Bashful Blue in one file folder etc.. and use the actual color in the tabs with the name on it.  Here is a picture, I wanted to share because I just love this and it is always at my side and available!! Just slide in and out from under my desk. If you want to see other organizing ideas , leave me a message.

 

Oh no almost forgot, don't forget the Winter Cropweekend is coming up- Feb. 25-27. Still spaces available! 2. Chipboard Class:  Taught by Jenn Cagnossola

Saturday 2/26  2:30pm-4

Come and create a beautiful chipboard album. Give it as a gift or keep it for yourself! Add pictures, poems, recipes, etc., you decide. 6 pages front and back. Everything will be pre-cut for you. Add the embellishments and they will make your pages pop.

3. Using SU Fabric Class:  Taught by Donna Rutkowski

Saturday 2/26, 7:30pm-9

Come and take the class and see what fun things you can make with fabric to enhance your projects! Besides the projects below that you will make I will have other samples/ideas available for you to see, and show demo. You can choose the 1. vintage spring time fabric    or     2. Deck the Halls fabric    I will post sample coasters in the Deck the Halls soon.  Just email with the fabric design you want.

In class we will be making 4 coasters ( sample shows 2) using SU fabric and coordinating solids. A pizza style gift box with a fabric flower and embellishments and a tag, chipboard and stamp. This tag can also be used as a gift tag for a wine bottle as shown. We will be using the Big Shot, dies and embossing folder. This would be a great gift for anyone or keep it for yourself. (Can you just picture yourself and a friend sitting outside on the porch on a rocker or swing and sipping on nice cold drink, and having these lovely coasters on the table? OK ladies wake up we are not in South in the springtime, But this could be close. LOL! A girl can dream.

Please bring to class, adhesive, glue stick, dimensional, tacky tape, scissors, and trimmer and scoring bade and or 12"rule

3D Shadow Box Class : Taught by Jen Peel

Sunday 2/27,  10:30am-12

Create this adorable 3D shadow box using the Botanical Gazette Suite products from the Occasions Mini.  Your project will use several stamping techniques: marker to stamp, collaging, dry embossing, sponging, and more.   You will also use many embellishments to create a one-of-a kind piece of art that you can keep for yourself or give as a gift.  Please bring to class: Sticky Strip, SNAIL adhesive, paper cutter with sharp blade, scissors, pencil with eraser, 12” (or longer) ruler.

Chipboard Album Class Samples

Hello everyone,

Here are samples of the Chipboard Album class being offered at the Crop weekend in February.  This is an "edgey" album with 6 pages.  We will be decorating fronts and backs of each page, so there will 12 pages in all.  Put your favorite pictures into this album and give it as a gift or keep it for yourself.  I titled mine "family" but you can title it what ever your heart desires (trip, holiday, spring...you could even do a page for each month of the year).   All you need to bring with you are scissors, 12x12 trimmer, Tombo glue...or some other VERY STICKY glue to glue down the paper to the chipboard) and yourself.  All the rest will be cut and ready for assembly!

NJ Crop Weekend- 2011 Febuary Winter Crop classes

Hi everyone!   Hope everyone had a Wonderful Holiday Season. I do have to say I am glad that its over, because I am so excited to start planning for the classes to be held at our Winter NJ Crop Weekend in February. I am trying to come up with classes using products from the New Occasions Mini catalog , that starts January 3, and of course from the Idea Catalog. We have very talented Demonstrators to teach these classes, and it will be interesting and exciting to see what these Ladies come up with! Every crop classes keep getting better. Woo Hoo!! Cannot wait! So check back with us, for I will be posting the description of classes with teacher soon. I promise to keep everyone informed as we get closer. Classes have a tendency to fill up. So make sure you keep checking the blog!
